B—9又叫阿拉,化学名称叫琥珀酸,它对果树主要有如下作用: 一、抑制新梢生长,促进花芽分化。由于B—9能降低枝条顶端GA类物质含量,增加脱落酸含量,因而使新梢加长生长缓慢,节间缩短,提早封顶,年生长量减少,树体也相应矮化。正是因为此单位长度内叶片数增加,且叶大色浓,这就是有利于制造和积累足够营养,满足花芽分化的需要。在果树管理中,为了控制苹果、梨等果树旺长,促进早结果,常用B—9处理,在春梢迅速生长前,梢长约5—7厘米左右时喷布浓度一般为2000PPm。
