建一幢摩天大楼与开发一个商用软件相比,哪一个更难呢?这个问题很有意思。许多公司和政府机构每年都斥资数百万美元进行软件开发,但这些开发项目却永无了日。有的开发项目总算完成并投入应用,但经济上超支,时间上落后。更糟的情况是,到了开发项目完成之日,使用要求又发生了变化。因此,相对来说,建幢摩天大楼要比开发一个同等复杂的软件来得容易。
Which is more difficult to build a skyscraper than to develop a commercial software? This question is very interesting. Many companies and government agencies spend millions of dollars each year on software development, but none of these development projects are there anymore. Some development projects are finally completed and put into use, but the economic overruns, time lags behind. To make matters worse, by the time the development project was completed, the requirements for use changed again. Therefore, building a skyscraper is relatively easy compared to developing an equally complex piece of software.
