According to the “Yangtze Evening News”, a school in the southwest of China is “easy to manage”, so that “closed students” with high tuition fees are wearing red school uniforms, while “ordinary students” with low tuition fees are wearing blue school uniforms. The students of the two classes not only differ in their clothing, but also have greater differences in their teaching environment, teaching staff, and school life. For example, the number of “red-collar” classes is small. Classes are equipped with VCDs, televisions, electric fans and other facilities. There are about 80 people in the “blue-collar” class, and even more. Classes are not equipped with any electrical facilities; “red-collar” students can be found in canteens. Dining, while blue-collar students can only eat in the classroom. Once this matter was reported, it received widespread attention from the society, and this led to the discussion on the issue of “the two systems of the rich and the poor” at the basic education stage. This issue of the topic column has made a social survey specifically on this matter. We now collate the views of the parties as follows.
