This article describes a nanosecond pulsed ion source cutting circuit for a 2.5 MeV proton electrostatic accelerator. It can cut the continuous proton beam given by the ion source primary lens into a pulsed beam with an average pulse width of 10 ns. Describes the relationship between the circuit electrical specifications and the geometry of the cutting chamber, as well as the structural and debugging points.
