我市是个现代化工业城市,早在六十年代初期,少数国营大企业开始设置总会计师,在党的十二届三中全会以后,随着城市经济体制改革的进行,总会计师的设置和工作得到加强(以下简称总师)。大型企业11个,已设置总师9人(含副总5人),中型企业19个,已设置总师10人(含副总7人),文化结构全部是大专以上,平均年龄51岁,从事财会工作均在30年以上。另外,地方工交中型企业18个,已设总师3个(含副总2个);商业公司级11个,已设总师5个(含副总3个);建安公司7个,已设总师7个(含副总4个);市直主管业务部门12个,已设总师5个(含副总4个)。
