The 670-ton/hour furnace concrete tube frame design for the research and development of the Jingmen Thermal Power Plant chaired by the Power Planning and Design Institute was held in Wuhan from May 17 to May 22, 1983. A total of 43 representatives from 33 institutions, including institutions of higher learning, scientific research, design, manufacturing, and construction and installation, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Central-South Electric Power Design Institute, the Third Engineering Bureau of the China National Construction Corporation, and the Research Institute of the Third Engineering Bureau of the China National Construction Corporation introduced the concrete-filled steel tube furnaces.
