由中国化学会和福建化学会联合举办的“1988年化学冬令营”于2月25日在厦门大学开营。中国化学会执行理事长、厦门大学校长田昭武同志担任营长,福建省副省长陈明义同志向冬令营发了贺电。来自全国26个省、市、自治区的56名中学生和他们的带队老师参加了这次冬令营。入营同学都是经过各省、市、自治区化学竞赛选拔出来的佼佼者。他们从全国各地汇集到厦门,组成了一个新的集体,相互切磋,互相学习。在历时六天的冬令营活动中,同学们进行了紧张的理论和实验考核竞赛。这些竞赛不仅是对他们所学知识的检查,也是对智力的检验。紧张竞赛之后,同学们和四位科学家进行了座谈;观看了科教录相;参观了厦门大学
The “1988 Chemistry Winter Camp” jointly organized by the Chinese Chemical Society and the Fujian Chemical Society was held in Xiamen University on February 25. Comrade Tian Zhaowu, the executive chairman of the Chinese Chemical Society and president of Xiamen University, served as the commander. Comrade Chen Mingyi, deputy governor of Fujian Province, sent a telegram of congratulations to the winter camp. 56 secondary school students and their teachers from 26 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions across the country participated in this winter camp. The students who entered the camp were selected through the chemical contests of provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. They gathered from all parts of the country to Xiamen to form a new collective to learn from each other and learn from each other. During the six-day winter camp activities, the students conducted intense theoretical and experimental examination contests. These competitions are not only an examination of what they have learned, but also an examination of intelligence.
