今年8月应菲律宾华侨首富庄万里老先生的子女长江、久有之邀,前往访问、任务是为庄府历来收藏书画过目,他们将全部无偿捐给上海博物馆,自当为之效力。记得今年5、6月中,我在香港中文大学时,庄家兄妹曾到香港携少量书画征求意见,并火之向佳士得和苏富比两家拍卖行推荐,又拍得清初作品数件,以充实其内容,拟定于2001年在上海博物馆举办捐献书画展,并印制图册。庄万里老先生的遗愿,由他的子女完成,诚乃值得称道的喜事,足见我国华侨
