根据22年茶桕混交的观察测定,结果表明:茶桕混交具有良好的生物学基础,能形成合理而稳定的群体结构。混交林与纯茶园相比,可充分利用空间,增加光能利用;炎热季节冠下降低光照强度50%以上,降低温度2℃以上,增加相对湿度5~12%,耕作层降低含砂量11%以上,增加含水量1.37%,增加枯枝落叶,提高土壤肥力等,使乌桕和茶叶产量增加,效益提高。据最近3年实测表明:1hm~2茶桕混交林年均产茶叶859.3kg,桕子828.6kg,总产值达3792.3元。经38个乌桕品种和无性系与茶树混交试种,证明在干瘠的低山丘陵地带,以铜锤桕最好,每hm~2年产值达到5239.05元,高于同样条件下的一般乌桕品种与茶混交林产值的69.27%。茶桕混交方式以株间行间混交方式为好。茶树应适当密植。乌桕以每hm~2配置250~300株为宜。
