我的航海生涯是从中国远洋的发源地——广州起航。起初,我羡慕船长威武地站在驾驶台上指挥船舶远航,领略欧洲的文明、非洲的古老、美洲的热烈、亚洲的祥和。我喜欢听老船员说海上的故事:好望角的怪浪、合恩角的海潮、南印度洋盛行的西南风对西行船舶产生的涌浪危害、来去路径不定的南海台风、令人担心的北大西洋飓风;苏伊士运河、巴拿马运河、基尔运河的奇风光;天主教、伊斯兰教、佛教不同教信仰的差异;英语、拉丁语等外语妙用……这一切都令我魂牵梦绕,贯了我38年的航海生涯。
My sailing career started from Guangzhou, the birthplace of China COSCO. At first, I admired the mighty captain standing on the bridge and commanding the ship voyage, enjoying the civilization of Europe, the ancient Africa, the warmth of the Americas and the peace of Asia. I like to hear the old crew say the story of the sea: Strange waves of the Cape of Good Hope, the tide of Horn, the southerly winds prevailing in the South Indian Ocean, the surge of ships on the westbound line, the unsteady South China Sea typhoon, the alarming North Atlantic Hurricane; Suez Canal, the Panama Canal, the extraordinary scenery of the Kiel Canal; Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, the difference between the different religions and beliefs; English, Latin and other foreign language magical powers ... All this makes me dreamer, consistent with my 38 Years of sailing career.
