The authors designed a new simple sample tube for small surface area measurements of powders and porous sintered bodies and proposed the use of argon as the adsorbate to completely eliminate the effects of thermal diffusion so that the continuous flow method can be used to accurately measure as small as 0.01 m ~ 2 surface area.
