当世界温泉联合会主席尼古拉·斯托拉赞科将“世界温泉之都”的牌匾正式授予重庆市人民政府时,全场掌声雷动——这是发生在10月26日“世界温泉及气候养生联合会第65届年会暨国际科学大会”上,令所有重庆人激动不已的一幕。这一天,70多名全球顶级专家一致同意重庆成为全球首个“世界温泉之都”。温泉,继“长江三峡、都市魅力、大足石刻”之后,成为重庆奉献给全世界的又一张极具份量的旅游名片。
