By 2005, a series of “high-speed trains” will be put into operation between Hamburg and Berlin, which are 285 kilometers apart. It takes only 53 minutes. People have been controversial about high-speed magnetic levitation trains for a long time. Today, this kind of locomotive which is a few centimeters above the road surface and whose speed exceeds 400 kilometers per hour is about to come out. The German government and business people are prepared to invest 30 billion francs to develop such “high-speed trains.” They believe that this project is ahead of the Japanese and their Shinkansen. German entrepreneurs realize their dream of magnetic levitation trains faster than most people think. Build “high-speed trains” between Hamburg and Berlin
