In his 85th year of postgraduate exams for studying physics in Henan Province in the United States, there was such a question: “Trying to combine the energy of a typical thunderstorm in Oklahoma with the energy of a standard nuclear bomb (5 million tons of TNT) (4.1 coke = 1 card; 10 ~ 9 card = 10 -6 (-6) million tons of TNT = 1 ton of TNT.) ”The vast majority of candidates based on the data in parentheses, the energy of a standard nuclear bomb, Made the correct calculation; 5 million tons TNT = 2.01 × 10 ~ (16) coke. But for the energy of a typical thunderstorm, none of the more than 50 candidates made the slogan answer. This fact shows that our students can not adapt to such problems at all. Let us first explain the solution to this problem.
