森林水文效益,首先是供给足够而稳定的水源,通过树冠,枯枝落叶和林木根系,改良土壤结构,加快水份下渗速度,增加土壤贮水量及其森林蒸发散的功能,对降水在数量上进行再分配,从而减低流速,将地表径流变为土壤水,以土壤潜流形式和均匀流速供给湖水。因而在汛期削减洪峰,旱季供给水流,起到调节流量,稳定水位,保持水土等良好功能。松花湖水源林就是属于以水文效益为主的多功能,多效益的森林湖泊生态系统。
