Objective: To study the effect of continuous improvement of quality of pregnant women schools and innovation of management methods. Methods: From May 2013 to February 2014, 400 pregnant women were enrolled in the study of pregnant women in Shunde Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Foshan City. The pregnant women were divided into observation group and control group with 200 cases in each group. The control group received routine training in pregnant women, the observation group was trained in quality improvement of pregnant women for 5 months, and the overall satisfaction, teaching effectiveness (delivery cognition, emotion, skill and education effectiveness evaluation) and cesarean section Yield, postpartum complication rate. Results: The total satisfaction of the observation group 90% was significantly higher than that of the control group 58.5% (P <0.05). The mean scores of delivery cognition, emotion, skill and education effectiveness evaluation in the observation group were (4.37 ± 0.59) points, (3.81 ± 1.01) points, (4.05 ± 0.46) points and (4.32 ± 0.49) points respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the control (3.30 ± 1.26) points, (3.24 ± 0.79) points, (2.91 ± 1.67) points and (3.16 ± 0.98) points respectively (P <0.05). The incidence of cesarean section and postpartum complications in the observation group were 28% and 3.5%, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group (43.5% and 9.5%, P <0.05). Conclusion: The continuous improvement of quality of pregnant women and the reform of management methods can meet the individual needs of pregnant women, enhance satisfaction, improve teaching effectiveness and reduce the incidence of cesarean section and postpartum complications.
