意大利米兰公交系统的电气火车以前一直采用金属悬臂和陶瓷绝缘子悬吊电力线。最近,该市开发成功一种玻璃纤维增强塑料支撑结构,在经过广泛的试验以后,已经在一段长度为三公里的线路上永久性地安装了这种支撑结构。玻璃纤维增强塑料臂的主要优点是,它同电力线之间不需要隔离绝缘。这种支撑结构的其它优点是,垂直支撑部件同水平支撑部件采用同一材料,因此悬吊施工方法比较简便;在检修某路电力线时不需要切断其它线路的电源。
Electric trains in Milan’s public transport system in Italy have traditionally used metal cantilevers and ceramic insulators to suspend power lines. Recently, the city successfully developed a fiberglass-reinforced plastic support structure that has been permanently installed over a length of three kilometers after extensive experimentation. The main advantage of fiberglass reinforced plastic arms is that they do not require isolated insulation from power lines. Another advantage of this support structure is that the vertical support member and the horizontal support member are made of the same material, so that the suspension construction method is simpler; it is not necessary to cut off the power supply of other lines when repairing a power line.
