I was admitted to the Nakhimov Black Sea Naval Academy in Sevastopol in 1937. On June 29, 1941, twelve of our class of twenty graduates were sent to Leningrad to be commanders designated as independent fire stations of the special anti-aircraft artillery battalion. The artillery battalion consisted of two separate artillery companies, “Aphrodite” and “Bolshevik”. The First Artillery Company even had nine 130-mm anti-aircraft guns removed from the cruisers. “Eve Holder ” is a teaching ship before the war - here is a training base for cadets internship base and artillery monitor. The second artillery unit, with nine 130-millimeter ф-13-2C anti-aircraft guns, was shipped directly from the “Bolsheviks” factory.
