罗德里戈·拉托(RodrigoDeRato):1949年3月18日出生于西班牙马德里。1971年毕业于马德里大学,获法律专业学士学位;1974年获美国加州大学伯克利分校工商管理硕士学位。1979~1986年任西班牙人民联盟(西班牙人民党前身,1986年改名为人民党)执行委员会成员。1986年起任人民党执行委员会成员,1996~2004年任人民党副总书记。1996年5月任西班牙第二副首相兼经济财政大臣。2000年4月任西班牙第二副首相兼经济大臣。2003年9月任西班牙第一副首相兼经济大臣。在此期间,拉托代表西班牙出任国际货币基金组织、世界银行、泛美银行、欧洲投资银行、欧洲复兴与开发银行理事会理事。2004年5月,拉托当选为国际货币基金组织总裁。
Rodrigo DeRato: Born on March 18, 1949 in Madrid, Spain. He graduated from the University of Madrid in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in law. In 1974, he received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. From 1979 to 1986, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish People’s League (predecessor of the Spanish People’s Party and renamed the People’s Party in 1986). Since 1986, he has served as a member of the People’s Party Executive Committee and served as Deputy Party Secretary of the People’s Party from 1996 to 2004. May 1996 as Spain’s second deputy prime minister and Minister of Economy and Finance. 2000 April Spain’s second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. September 2003 as Spain’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. During this period, Latour represented Spain on the boards of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Pan-American Bank, European Investment Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In May 2004, Rato was elected president of the International Monetary Fund.
