Preface The BMR Annual Report Series aims to present the research content and work of BMR to non-professionals as broadly as possible. BMR81 follows the format of the previous annual reports and reports in greater detail on some of the major scientific projects BMR 238 and 239 in BMR1981. BMR81, in addition to making a general review of some regular projects and summarizing government plans, also contains topics for some and privately planned projects to reflect the breadth of geoscientific research conducted by BMR. Unlike previous annual reports, editors focus almost entirely on some big plans for the year. The BMR1981’s operational plan was to review the existing plans and to establish the 1981-1982 regular program. These are in the first part of this book - the regular program.
