近年来应用生化学、萤光组织化学和电子显微镜技术对中枢神经系统儿茶酚胺类代谢进行的许多研究,不仅丰富了神经生化学和生理学的内容,而且给巴金森氏病的治疗带来了可喜的前景。现已发现脑内不同部位多巴胺(儿茶酚乙胺)含量不同。新纹状体(尾状核与壳核)内多巴胺含量最高,约占脑内多巴胺总量的80%以上。中脑内黑质中含量亦较高。
