In 1800, Britannica Stannup invented the first all-iron press, the Stannown press. In the same year, the military industry began to use metal antimony to make grenades. In 1801, C.Hatchett, a British chemist, discovered a new element in the analysis of ore. The new element was named Columbium (钶) because the ore originated in Columbia. In 1844, H. Rose, a German chemist, claimed to have discovered a “new” element of a similar nature to tantalum, which is named after the Greek mythical creature Tantalus. So Tantalus daughter Niobe Aobo) name the new element niobium (niobium), in 1866 to determine 钶 and niobium is the same element. 1951 International Chemistry Union
