长江和畅洲左汊口门控制工程在长江主流上建筑潜坝,在全国尚属首例,世界罕见。历经20年的研究、论证,2002年经水利部长江水利委员会、江苏省水利厅批准建设。工程实施后,将直接控制和畅洲左汊的迅速扩大,利于右汊丹徒至大港一线深水岸线的维持和利用,改善和畅洲南汊内主航道通航条件,减轻和畅洲北缘、孟家港等重点坍江段的防洪压力,对开发沿江产业带、发展沿江经济具有极其重要的意义。
The Yangtze River and Changzhou Zuoji port control project in the mainstream of the Yangtze River on the construction of sub-dam, the first case in the country, the world is rare. After 20 years of research, feasibility studies, in 2002 by the Yangtze River Water Resources Commission, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Water Resources approved the construction.
