blasting vibration is one of the major hazard, so as to control the effect of engineering blasting on the existing structures and environment, it is considerably necessary to study blasting vibration.In this paper,according to the monitoring data of the engineering blasting, comprehensively taking into account the effect of maximum amount detonator of single hole, the total amount of detonator, relative altitude and distance of blasting source, and so on, utilizing support vector machine analyses peak velocity of blasting vibration.The results are consistent with the monitoring values of peak velocity in blasting engineering, and preciser than that of Saudorskys formula.It shows that it is feasible studying peak velocity of blasting vibration employing support vector machine, and support vector machine may consider more factors impacting blasting vibration.
